William Eugene Curling, Jr. (Bill) died at Riverside Regional Medical Center April 22, 2021 after a long illness at the age of 74. He was born in Newport News, Virginia on July 25, 1946. He attended Warwick High School and joined the United States Air Force in 1967, serving four years. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Hampton and served as a deacon. Bill was a welder by trade and worked for Liebherr America for many years and worked on systems for Munck AuTech until he retired. He loved to fish, watch old black and white movies, and to work with anything electronic. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Eugene Curling, Sr. and Sylvia Curling Brandt. He is survived by his sister, Bonnie Curling Clark (Ernie), a nephew, Chris Clark (Amy), nieces, Melanie Clark and Emily Clark Foster, great nephew, Steven Clark, great nieces, Gabrielle Clark and Emma Clark, great great-nephew, Josue Lopez, and good friends, Mike Luther and Jennifer Pfeiffer. A 10:00 a.m. memorial service with military honors will be held Thursday, May 13, 2021, at Albert G. Horton Cemetery, 5310 Milner’s Road, Suffolk, Virginia.
